The FQ rules are the result of years of compromise, flame wars, and the occasional death threat. We're sticking with them, 'cause I don't want to walk down that road. Smile

Crafting Items

Craft Level / Item Modifier / Crafting Time

1 / Any book item =< +2 traits/ 3 weeks

2 / Any book item/ 2 weeks

3 / Any book item/ 1 week

4 / Book item with one bonus*/ 2 weeks

5 / Book item with two bonus*/ 4 weeks

6 / Book item with one modification**, two bonus* / 6 weeks

7 / Book item with two modifications**, two bonus*/ 8 weeks



*Bonus (Limit one of each type) - +1 trait, -1 neg, +1 health level on armor, puissant proof, special quality(i.e. High Caliber, Mass Trauma), lower one concealability level, half crafting time.



**Modifications (Limit one of each type) -

No penalty -> remove one negative trait

+1 negative trait -> +1 positive Trait

+1 negative trait -> change type of damage (i.e. lethal to aggravated)

+1 negative trait -> +1 level of damage



***Crafted items in our game superior to these listed rules are hereby restricted to these bonuses while used in our chronicle.



When utilizing this chart, select the level of craft you intend to us on the object and use the information present in that row. i.e. Crafting an object using Crafts 5 would allow a standard book item with two bonus selections crafted in 4 weeks time. Bonuses or modifications are not cumulative. Where it says “Limit one of each type” after bonuses, this means each type of change. You may only put one special quality on an item, for example.



You are limited to one type of crafting on an item for bonus purposes. This is strictly game balance. i.e. If you have Crafts (Metallurgy) and Crafts (Blacksmithing) both at 5, you'll only be allowed to implement one type of item creation effect on the weapon.

Is there any way for garou to get to level 6 and 7 crafts? If not you can eliminate those sections (namely modifications) for ease of use and less confusion.

Also, having both written these rules and ST'd in FQ with them, players need to closely read the bonus section.

I can actually think of a few ways. A master smith tapping the power of a Caern of Craftsmanship comes to mind, as does having a pack totem that grants the appropriate craft...

are the times ie crafts x3 = any book item 1 week stackable? say i want an axe that is also a metal detector (yes i like ridiculous multitools) is this 1 week or 2?

Hmmm.... Interesting... Rules for Guns, Rules for Melee Weapons... No Rules for Ammunition....
Lets say someone wants to Craft there Arrows....
I can easily see adding Extra Damage while Removing the Armor Piercing --> Using Broad Heads not Bodkin Points.
I still dont see how a Long Bow Can Break a Shield But I do see how it can shoot right thru some of them ???

And what are the Larp rules for making the Fianna Brews I downloded the Fianna Tribe book but i was wondering who it worked in Larp?

Ok Need a ST ruling on this If My Charater Has Craft (Mead) x4 and i do the Rite Spirit Brew on the item and add Say 3 Gnosis Could i make a Mead that gives you 3 Gnosis as well as Heals one health level?

Rite of Spirit Brew is as-is. It instantly spoils if you try to mix alcohol with it or anything like that.

Also, misuse of Rites is a renown hit.

Lastly, I will not approve a crafts-alcohol that restores health levels, that is what Rite of Binding is for.

I would be all about Crafts minimums for shoving spirits into things. If I was a healing spirit and someone tried to shove me into a Natty Ice I'd be all 'hell no!' but maybe if there was a Craftsx4 mead I'd be more like 'yeah baby, real smooth.'

Ok Matt so your saying if my Charater makes some Honey Mead and does the Rite Spirit Brew it will not work? (that sucks)

Matt I understand that Most of the Bennies added to Crafting Rules are for Armor & Weapons So let me ask you this With the Mystic Brews in Tribe Book Fianna other then the ingredints what rank"s" would i need to be to Brew them it doesnt give a rank (not that i saw)

Crafting plays a major role in fetish-making; Hammer and Klaive has a whole section on it. Try to bind a spirit to a piece of crap, and you're going to have a seriously offended spirit. Even the Bone Gnawers don't just bind spirits to any old junk; it has to be Stuff.

The Rite of Spirit Brew - You take some Water do the Rite Bury it in the Ground for Three days and at the End you dig it up after its absorbed Gnosis its not for use on Alcohol.
The Fianna Brews are all versions of Awakaned Alcohol... The Bonegnawer Secret of the Hillbilly Camp is something just a little Bit More awakaned Moonshine plus something a bit more.
