***New Caern details.***

It will be obvious that there is a lot of work to be done to protect this Caern:

The Bawn of the new Caern is about 600,000 square feet. If you open your favorite map program, you can see that it extends from a rough square 2,500 feet on a side formed by the intersection of Rt277 and Seufert Road. If you look on Google Maps, you can see that this encompasses seven homes, and most of the relatively secluded South East section of Chestnut Ridge park.

That being said, the Heart of the Caern is currently completely exposed and lies only a few dozen feet from often visited Eternal Flame part of the park. This will probably be only a few dozen hikers a day through the late fall, and almost none in the winter, but hundreds of people a day will be visiting the Flame during the spring and summer months. Even with the Heart properly hidden away (somehow) you still have the problem of lots and lots of people hiking through your Bawn.

I'm working on making a map on Google maps for your reference, but the interface is the opposite of user friendly.

It's doable. It has to be doable. The Sept of the Green hides a rank 5 caern in Central-frigging-Park. True, it's one of the more secluded areas of Central Park, but having been there, I can say that there's NO area of Central Park that's less traveled than Chestnut Ridge.

If they can do that, we should be able to hide a rank 1 caern. I have some ideas for that, but they'll take every auspice working together. (And I hope our Glasswalkers, Silver Fangs, and Shadowlords have the resources to buy up those homes. On the plus side, the owners should be highly motivated to sell right now.)
