The Umbra: Voyage to the Cyber Realm

Once on the street...hopefully with the rest of the pack in tow...Wishbone will quietly say "Our time for this errand is nearly up.  Faikure to return promptky will have severe consequebces. We must depart." So saying, he heads for the horror shop and the cab.

"If this isn't what we came for we will have to come back..."

Wishbone doesn't respond; he leads the way back the way the group came,

Jason will follow all the way to the cab

You arrive outside the 50's shop you started at.  The propritor looks you up and down.

" And you you return, holding your, pppft, purchase.  But you have returned, you wish to see more, yes?  Perhaps the Virginia collection?  Many giant monsters there.  Then there's the snake worshipper suite... "

 (Come on guys, 54 minutes, we can do this!)

Jason will look at the shopkeeper, "We are going to take a look at the wasps again, we will need some time to assess them and discuss.  We will need some privacy to make our decision.  We will get you when we are ready."

" Of course.  Our wasps doesn't get nearly enough attention.  Gamera?  Don't get me started on Gamera. "

He opens the door, y'all step inside.

The world is black and white again, giant wasps do their thing.

Jason will step inside and look around as if he is assessing the wasps, until the group is gathered and the door closes again.

The door... will only close when someone closes it.

Once everyone is in he will close the door.  He will move over to the cab.

What cab? There is no cab visible.

"Keep watching the skies!"

He moves to where they left the cab.

And Wishbone saves the day again! (And I certainly was NOT going to let you chop for that!)

The cab reappears, the cabbie is wobbling his head back and forth.

" Took you idiots long enough.  Let's cheese it! "

The ground falls away, the windows fog up, strange music can be heard outside, you see a brief glance at a purple and green haired girl regarding you at a great distance, then you're hurtling through the skies of the Penumbra, and slamming into the ground at an unwholesome speed.

The cabbies meter dings.

" Six gnosis, and its been a pleasure, " he says cheerfully.

Jason will take a paper cup from his bag, add a gnosis to it and pass it around.

Once everyone has contributed and clear of the cab Jason will pass the cabbie the cup from outside the drivers side door.

Wishbone will feed the cup once again, with an extra gnosis from him. ALWAYS tip the cabbie.

"Okay, NOW we can talk. Jason, I hope that's the thingy, but we needed to get out fast. That clerk was getting susoicious.  Any longer and we would have been in deep trouble."

You're optimistic, the cabbie doesn't unlock the doors until he's been paid.  Still, he shakes his head, laughing good naturedly as he flies off into the Umbral twilight.

"I can dig that."  Jason opens the package he has been carrying.

Inside the box is a red skateboard.  It has no wheels, it has a small attachment marked as a " HASBRO BRAND MIND MACHINE INTERFACE ", a length of thin rope, and a USB power brick.

"Looks legit. Lets get to the bawn and get this done with."

"Wish lead the way, the umbra turns me around....  Stupid Fox Kit...."

"I have no intention to step on the bawn, only to howl for her."

"No. We're not giving Firewall an excuse to find fault. I'll tell her and arrange dekivery. Either way, she gets her toy and acknowledges that you did what she asked.  Do me a facor: ask someone who doesn't have a serious mad-on for you when it's time for your next chalkenge. This kind of trip, I can live without."

((OOC: Won't be back on until Sunday. Will respond to oosts then. 'Night.))

"Fine.  Wish I'm going to leave this with you then. " holds out the board.  "Unless you are coming with us."

((Just so we can all move on with life, if Wish comes with us Jason will trust to board to patch, if he doesn't wish get the board.  Either way Jason leaves the city by the next dawn.))

"Leave it with Patch--I may stay long enough to tie up a few loose ends, but I think it's best if I come look into things in Indiana, as well.  Speaking of Patch...you owe him a large thank you.  We all do.  He was the one who put two and two together and realized what the answer was.  I don't think I would have thought of looking at the skateboard otherwise."  He grins at Patch.  "That was damned good thinking; I chose the right person as my Beta."

"I owe you all a big thanks.  And when I get back, open season on my bar.  But that might be a while off.  So yea."  He walks over to Patch and puts his hand on his shoulder, "I owe you one.  Don't hesitate to call me."  He hands off the box.  "When Pynm gets back tell him to call me."

Jason grabs his bag, "If you know need me you guys know how to get a hold of me."  He taps his temple.  He looks to Mariah, "Ready to go?"
