I wouldn't be so sure Skippy has no part to play. Isn't he the fresh-faced enthusiastic kid from the audience? He's going to get "accidentally" crushed with a flying implement of some sort, and then they film hospital visits with him to solidify the face's nobility and the heel's caddishness.
