Rage healing

I have an idea for rage healing... two actually....

1) you can't receive glory for the same type of wound. there is only so much awesome you should get for having superficial scars x7

2) and I think you will like this brian,

You can rage heal to Wounded and receive a minor battle scar (you can classify them into major and minor)
you can rage heal to Bruised and receive a MAJOR battle scar..... c'mon little garou... you know you don't wanna take wound penalties... this fight is too important... go for it.

and last, you can rage heal to full, and at the end of the scene, keel over and die.

thoughts?

addendum: I want to make battle scars PERMANENT except in extraordinary circumstances.... no healing it and losing the glory, no take backs...

My immediate reaction is only to your last one. I'm almost certain there's a gift, either Get of Fenris, Red Talon, or Wendigo that does that fight-to-the-death. It's an advanced. It trivializes the weight of that gift if even that cub over there can do it, or something similar.

The rest sounds good. I'll post again if I think of anything else.

the fight to the death thing takes both people and puts them in a pocket dimension... there are other gifts that let you fight than fall, sorta, and you can rage heal multiple times, so in a way we all can do this.... this however just gives each garou a chance of epic at death.

could someone clarify the current rage healing rules for me?

Currently, if you go to incapacitated, you can Rage heal to Wounded, at which point you will acquire a battle scar. Could be minor, could be major.

I like the rules as they stand right now, personally--there's no such thing as "playing it safe" when you Rage-heal. You always have the risk of a serious battle-scar.

If you are wounded to Beyond Incapacitated you may Spend a Rage [You must have one left] and then you make a rage Test against the difficulty set by the Lunar Phase.

Failure means no rage healing and you just die.

That being said I really dont see any need to change the Rage Healing Rules. The Ability of a Garou to take a Hit from a Mack Truck doing 80 MPH with Silver Spikes on its bumper and on a Win on the Rage Heal Test to Become very angry ball of Fur and Fangs is more then sufficent.

Current Rules are you Rage Heal you take a Battle Scar could be a minor one could be well Wishbone took a major one and Lupus have no babies.

according to the current rules, he could also just heal that.

Ok... so...

The Former Shadow Lord BSD stabs you in the back with an Assassin Glaive after having used Fatal Flaw on you. You take 8 Agg now if you were totaly healthy the sneaky little BSD Back Staber has hit the sweet spot and you are Incapacitated unless you have huge size or are a Get and you cant rage heal.

But if you already had say 2 Agg now your Dying and you get the option to rage heal and your back into the fight heck you could be ignoring wound penalties an 7 Agg take the 8 Agg Back Stab and still rage heal all the way up thru the wounded penalites.

This is a very powerful ability and honestly there is not any reason I can see to improve it. The rules as written are powerful enough ?

Not exactly. The rules say that you lose the Glory if the scar is healed. They don't say anything about being able to simply heal the scar. Some things take more extensive healing than just "I get Mother's Touched." That's why caerns like the Hand of Gaia exist.

By the same logic, you could just heal physical flaws like Lame.
