The junkyard....again

Jason gets in the Wishbone's Junkyard, showing Mariah the way.  Jason howls for Wishbone.  Once the howl is done he sits on "his" car.

Mariah flopps on one of the cars to use as a couch, waiting.

Wishbone turns up not too long after.  As usual, it's not a dramatic entrance; one minute, he's not there, and the next, he is.  He inclines his head to Mariah; the wolfy equivalent of a nod.

<< Greetings, Slaughters the Darkness. May your feet be sure under Luna's light, and may your hunts be fruitful. >>  Having greeted the visitor, he turns to Jason. << One has come, as requested.  One confesses, however, to some curiosity as to the nature of this meeting. >>

Jason looks at Wish, "Did you forget already?  You know you said we needed a third to do the thing with the stuff..."

Wishbrow's snout wrinkles in puzzlement.  << One is still uncertain as to why we did not simply do it in the caern, but no matter.  Please step into the Umbra; one prefers not to perform such rites where those not of the Sept might see them. >>

Jason looks to Mariah for a sec then back to Wishbone, "Because I am not the most popular person around there  right now..."  He gets up from the car and looks around to check the coast is clear, "Shall we be going?  See you guys on the other side."  Jason steps sideways

"It is good to see you again Wishbone." Looking at the back of her IPod she slipped into the umbra and waited quietly.

Wishbone joins the two of them in the umbra, shifting to Crinos once on the other side.  He begins to rummage in his bag for his ritual paraphernalia.  Producing a rattle made of an old coffee can, he begins to shake it vigorously.

<< Spirits, hear my call!  A warrior of Gaia stands before you!  Behold him, and hear his deeds! >>

Jason stand near Wishbone waiting for instruction.

Wishbone directs the other two participants, asking Jason to tell his deeds, asking Mariah to confirm them where appropriate.   He mixes a paste of herbs and ash, and anoints Jason's head with it.

"These sigils mark your deeds.  Let the spirits take note; your accomplishments are recognized."

Jason follows his instructions and tells the tales of his exploits in combat for the Glory of Gaia.

"I fought in the Umbra with Sewer Pipe to defend the forming of the Cearn of Winter's Wrath, with us being the only two to live to see the next day."  His eyes drop and he pauses for a moment remembering the fight.  "I have fought the creatures that tried to raid the Cearn of Falling Waters along side the Kinfolk, Aaron.  I, alone, stood watch of our flank in material world, the while the river in Zoar Valley was cleansed.  Fought at the Water Treatment Plant.  These things I have done for the Glory of Gaia."

Dougie walks slowly over.)

Sounds like good tale. Wish I could have been there to see it with my own eyes.

Mariah spun, bow appearing and arrow being knocked before she finished the movement and it took her a minute to realize Dougie was friend not foe. Narrowing her eyes for a moment she turned back to the ritual at hand and watched Wishbone.

Wishbone fills a battered old Army pot helmet with water.  "Let the waters reflect your deeds as they reflect the eye of Luna; by water be they sealed."

He ceremoniously offers the helmet to Jason.  "You know this part, I think."

Jason looks to Wishbone, puts the helmet on his head.

Wishbone throws his arms high into the air as the water cascades down Jason's face and shoulders.  << Let these deeds be acknowledged!  Let the spirits carry the tale beneath Gaia's gaze! >>

He retrieves his helmet.  "Your accomplishments are acknowledged."
