Session 2 Location

Hey folks,

I'm opening up a quick vote on session 2 location. To keep it simple, I'm only putting up two options.

(a) Ellicott Creek Park
+ We've already run there.
+ It's close to UB

(b) Chestnut Ridge

+ Much larger park. More space/privacy
+ The Eternal Flame is there.. Cool!
- It's a farther drive for the folks in the northtowns.

Eternal flame access is different than to the regular park. I would prefer the park for its super-awesomeness, even aside from EF, but just putting that out there.

Hmmm...35 minute drive for me...eh...I've done worse.

Elicott creek is 45 for me, an hour plus for others.

The August session's going to be 5 days after surgery for me, so it's pretty iffy under any circumstances. Ellicott Creek would be easier, since it's a lot close to home, but I might not be able to make it no matter where it is. We'll have to see how things go.

I Vote Chestnut Ridge....

Variety I like variety and Chestnut Ridge is a cool park. For those with energy and willing to take a Hike [Bring Hiking Shoes] you can go visit the Eternal Fire.

Caroline tells me that she prefers Chestnut Ridge. I prefer Ellicott Creek, as it's an easier drive and closer to the conveniences of the modern world (read: Wegmans, which wins for grill-fu).

Vote closed, chestnut ridge wins, I'll make the arrangements.

How grillable is the location? Is there a convenient place to buy goods/wash hands/poop uncontrollably/wash hands again thereabouts?

Above is a link to the MAP of Chesnut-Ridge Park.... lots of useful things like the Comfort Stations which if I disremember right have bathrooms.

Chestnut Ridge, shelter #20, I picked a site with both grill and easy bathroom access. Rental fee was $60.

Game start at 2pm, please spread the word.

I'm a creature of the modern world? I do not like to be rained on. I also don't want to shit in the woods, pseudo-woods, or shrubs. Sorry.

I'm also contractually obligated to grill as often as possible. A game run outdoors, on a sunny day in August? Gotta do it.
