6/5/12: Meeting the Messenger

Wishbone puts out the word:

"We're going to meet the person who sent the messenger. I think it would be a really good idea if each pack had at least one representative there, because this will concern the whole Sept. We're going to meet in the small side cavern near the front tunnel in an hour, and head out from there."

"Sewer Pipe obviously has to stay at the caern, so I'll go. Are we just going to meet the messenger, or do we expect to follow the meeting with an immediate raid on the site? I ask so I know how much unfriendly gear I should be taking."

"We need to know the situation first. I think launching an attack blind would be crazy. On the other hand, there's always the possibility that this is a trap."

"I will go and be back up to whomever will talk with the bear. Who is also coming with? If things go all Fubar I will get you out of there Billy."

We have been warned that the one we go to meet dislikes us because of the war of rage. The maid has said we must be prepared and that we must rise up to the task but that the one we go to meet could be our greatest ally or our most bitter enemy?

So be polite listen to what they have to say ? Oh and I will be going as well ???

"I will be there unseen... Wishbone, you know how to signal me."

Pack not yet formed reporting for duty ((PNym snaps a quick salute to the beta))

"Well, it's probably best if we don't take the whole Sept to the first meeting. Might give the wrong impression." He sighs. "Kinda hoped the Alpha would be here, but Gaia knows it's hard to pin down a Strider. I think we'd better go with what we've got. Anyone need to take care of anything before we leave?"

"Glad you're here, Alpha. We need to go meet this "Memory" and find out what the situation is in Zoar Valley. Question is...who should go? Your call."

"There's just one thing: we need a Philodox for this, one who can catch the truth. Alpha, do you think you could get Davis to come?"

Skippy is around when the party forms.

"Should I go to listen, or stay to protect the Caern?"

He doesn't seem to be talking to anyone in particular, but as this is Skippy talking, directions from someone would probably help.

"Skippy, you need to stay here. Until we know more about what the threat is, we can't risk endangering a cub. Besides, the caern DOES need defenders. The Dancers could attack again."

Skippy puts his paw over his eyes, then heads over to the Kinfolk caves. Or was he saluting?

Once the delegation is assembled, Wishbone leads the way to the rendezvous point.
